To help you plan your stay with us, we have put together some of the most frequently asked questions we receive from our guests. If you have a specific query not answered below, please contact us via email email@example.com and our friendly team will be more than happy to assist you.
How far apart are the Cottages and what are their outlooks?
The 3 cottages are approx. 10 steps away from each other. Close, but still giving adequate privacy. They look out onto a little courtyard setting.
The larger Winery Cottage is accessed via a separate driveway on the lefthand side of the Tanunda Cottages and this is situated in a pretty garden setting.
What's included when we book a cottage?
All stays include generous continental breakfast provisions for your entire stay, linen and towels, free Wi-Fi, on-site parking, Nespresso coffee and more.
Do you cater for special dietary needs?
Yes. Please notify us at time of booking with your requirements.
Are the Cottages serviced daily?
No. The cottages are cleaned on arrival and stocked with adequate provisions for your entire stay. Then they are cleaned again after your departure.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my dates?
Cancellations outside of the 30 day stay period incur a $50 admin fee. This fee is waived if you move your booking date (subject to availability). A booking date can be moved once. Cancellations within the 30 day stay period will forfeit any refund. We recommend purchasing Travel Insurance for peace of mind.
What is the check-in procedure?
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is at 10am. You will be sent an email with self check-in details when you make your reservation. An SMS will be sent to the person who booked within 7 days of your stay, re-confirming yourself check-in details.
Can I drop off my luggage prior to 2pm?
No, unfortunately we do not have a secure area to store luggage, you will need to keep your luggage with you until check-in.
Can I get my money back if I need to cancel?
All monies will be forfeited if cancellation occurs with the 30 day stay period.
Do you accept 1 night stays?
Yes, we do.
Can I invite friends to the property?
No. Guests are not, under any circumstance, permitted to invite anyone onto the property who is not staying on the property with the exception of transportation and tour operators. Our rates are based on two guests. Extra guests are an additional fee. If you are interested in staying as a group, see our Stay + Play Package .
Is the accommodation quiet?
Yes, generally the property is a tranquil place. We are situated on the main road of a major regional town within the Barossa Valley. During the day it is the main thoroughfare, however at night it is very quiet. We ask guests to be mindful that we are next door to a working winery and therefore, from time to time, there will be machinery operating.
How far are you from the nearest town?
We are conveniently located within walking distance to the centre of Tanunda in the Barossa Valley.
How far are you from the nearest restaurant?
The closest restaurant is 1918 Bistro & Grill which is 600 metres. The Tanunda Bakery is 300 metres. We also have our cellar door – Underground Barossa right next door which provides coffee, eats and wine tasting experiences. There are many other cafés and restaurants within walking distance (see our Experience Tanunda page for more information).
Is there a winery close by?
Tanunda Cottages is next door to a working winery which is home to our family owned Underground Barossa cellar door. Turn right as you walk out the cottages and it’s a short stroll up the road. Enjoy coffee, eats and an unique wine tasting experience.
Can I purchase a gift certificate?
Yes, you can. Please contact us and we can create a gift certificate based on your needs.
Is there internet access and mobile phone coverage?
We supply free Wi-Fi for all our guests with good mobile phone coverage.
Can I smoke on the property or in the Cottages?
There is a no smoking policy inside the cottages and within the grounds.
Is there a supermarket close by?
Yes. Tanunda Foodland is a short walk. They have a great selection of local Barossa produce. Opening Hours – 7 days 7.00am to 8.00pm
Do you accommodate children?
Can we bring our pets?
No. We do not allow pets.
Can I hire a bike to get around?
Bike hire is available at the Barossa Visitors Centre. We do have bike racks on site for our guests.
Can you recommend a tour company?
Yes we certainly can recommend some great local tour operators to help make your Barossa experience memorable. Please contact us direct so we can assist with your needs. We can also recommend some great cafés, restaurants and cellar doors.
